REGISTRATION OPEN FOR NCMD WEB PORTAL

We are very pleased to announce that registration is now open for the National Child Mortality Database (NCMD) Web Portal!

If you are an eCDOP user, you do NOT need to register for the NCMD portal. If you would like to register, you can do so by following the instructions below, however you will not be able to create or edit any cases in NCMD. This should be done in your eCDOP system.

If you do not use eCDOP, please follow the instructions below to register. You will need to register, even if you previously registered for the NCMD pilot.

Once registered on the NCMD portal, you can start to submit data from 1st April 2019. Please note, it is essential that you enter details on NCMD for every case reviewed by your CDOP after 1st April 2019. All your open cases (i.e. those not yet reviewed by your CDOP) should be entered onto NCMD before 31st March 2020. This is to make sure that NCMD can provide the data return to the Department of Health for the 19/20 review year.

Registration Instructions:

Please see your role below for details of how to obtain access to NCMD

• CDOP Managers / Line Managers of CDOP co-ordinators – once you have registered, you can set up user accounts for your CDOP teams.  See the instructions below to register.
• CDOP co-ordinators / CDOP administrators – you will need to contact your manager to set up an account for you after they have registered
• Designated Doctors, Designated Nurses and CDOP Chairs – your CDOP Manager will set up a read-only account for you.

CDOP Managers / Line Managers of CDOP co-ordinators should:

1. Go to the NCMD portal web page which is located here: https://ncmdportal.co.uk/#!/Login
2. Click the “Getting set up with an NCMD account” link
3. Complete the fields requested and click Submit
4. When we receive your request, we will approve your registration and you will receive an email confirmation with instructions for how to log on
